Loyal Luxe

The Canadian Cabin for fluffy little critters

Loyal Luxe makes super cute accessories for pets that not only have a creative design but are eco-friendly and affordable. Pablo had an unfortunate accident several months ago when his cat tower toppled over with him inside and he hasn't gone near it since. I think the Canadian Cabin would be an excellent replacement and as much as I would love to put him in a bow tie, he would never tolerate it!

Love this map showing some of Chicago's best restuarants. Many of these are on my list of restaurants I still need to visit.

The Ditty Bops

I was introduced to these talented ladies several years ago when I was working at the Ravinia Festival and they were on tour with The Prairie Home Companion. I was dissapointed to miss their recent live show at The Old Town School of Folk Music. I guess this video will have to do for now. Enjoy!

A night of Music and Art

Last Friday, The David Adler Music and Arts Center, held an opening night gala for an exhibit showcasing local artists. My violin group class had an amazing time performing for the event!

Meet Pablo

Pablo's Foolproof Method* for Waking Owner up to be Fed:

Tactic #1: Find any important documents left on desk and proceed to chew and tear to shreds.
Tactic #2: Create more noise by knocking valuable items off of dresser, desk, nightstand, ect.
Tactic #3: Sit close to owners face and paw at them until they respond.

*Should any of these tactics result in your being tossed from the bedroom, simply cry and scratch at the door relentlessly until owner gives in.

Coffee Love

Photo Via Chicagoist

This is awesome! The Tour de Cafe card entitles you to 20 cups of coffee at 20 different local coffee shops in Chicago for only $20. What a great way to explore Chicago's neighborhoods, support local businesses, and drink some pretty darn good coffee.

Flower and Garden Show

Well, it's officially Spring although it doesn't feel like it here in Chicago with a wet and snowy forecast this week. My Mom and I spent the afternoon at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show a couple weekends ago. This years theme was the Sport of Gardening. The tulips were my favorite! To keep in line with the theme of the afternoon we stopped for dinner at Harry Caray's Restuarant. Looking forward to warmer weather and bike rides, baseball games, and picnics in the park. Happy Spring!
