Weekend snapshots

Christine and I did a lot o' fiddlin this weekend, performing at Julius Meinl on Friday and at Uncommon Ground on Saturday for St.Patty's Day.
Sunday was spent in Lincoln Square enjoying the amazing weather (80 degrees in March!) by having brunch al fresco at Fork and gelato in the square.

Weeknight meal

Rarely do I have the energy to cook on weeknights after teaching, but this week I made Bowtie Pasta with Roasted Tomatoes and Zucchini & Goat Cheese Sauce. I used this simple recipe from the Everygirl. Looking forward to trying some of their other weeknight meal recipes.

Needless to say, breakfast at Southport Grocery & Cafe was oh so good. It was a lovely place to spend the morning.

p.s. We had The Southern omelet (with the most amazing mashed potatoes) and bread pudding pancakes.
